Cuernavaca House CDMX

Designed by @tapiamcmahon, an architectural practice based in London and Mexico City, the Cuernavaca House is located in the Condesa neighborhood of CDMX. The structure reimagines the city terrace house with raw concrete, timber inserts, and generous outdoor spaces that serve as a respite from the city’s chaos. At its core is an ash-clad central winding staircase designed to maximize natural light on every floor, leading up to the third floor where you’ll find the landscaped rooftop terrace. The integration of form and function earned the building accolades from the Royal Institute of British Architects and the American Institute of Architects, UK Chapter, highlighting its innovative approach to urban residential design.
